Nick Kato
Nicholas Kato joined the Coronado Schools Foundation Board in 2020. He is the managing partner of Leo Berwick, a M&A advisory firm with offices in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Toronto, and Vancouver. Before founding Leo Berwick, Nick was the National Leader of Infrastructure M&A and Senior US M&A Tax Partner at KPMG. He also earned his M.A. in Taxation from University of Denver after completing his B.SC., Business, at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Nick moved to Coronado with his wife, Rika Tanaka, and their two children, Buzzy and Hana, in 2020. Both Nick and Rika strongly believe that strong schools create strong communities and have been supporting the schools through CSF even before their children were old enough to be a part of CUSD. Now that both children are students at Village Elementary, Nick is even more committed to ensuring all of our students have access to the resources and experiences that will set them up for future success.
